Our Story:
The “Dream Team” is comprised of a motley crew of language lovers formed during the dream of a Tolkien-esque deity in which Shakespeare brings nothing but a pair of brass knuckles to a knife fight with a mountain. As the dust settled, amongst the rubble were statues shaped in the likeness of this group. They were later brought to life by this same deity. After twenty pots of coffee and an exceptionally long montage set to Iron Maiden and Journey songs, the group was finally given breath. Their current goal is to cut the curtain guarding the imagination and letting it fall to the floor like a silk accordion, to infuse the images of poetry Lasikly into the eyes of everyone they meet, to give voice to artistic language as shockingly as finding a frog burping under your pillow in the middle of the night. As the sun sets, as the cold sets in, within the safety of coffee house poetry readings, within the turning of a fresh page in a diary, during the minute pauses between the clatter of keyboard typing, you may hear them riding their winged bears in your direction with the sole intent of bringing to you the gift of words.
