Patio Playhouse
Patio Playhouse is a community and youth orientated theater which was incorporated in November of 1967, and provides a space in which the community can both participate and attend affordable, quality entertainment. The theatre group was established for theatrical arts education as well as presentation, and has continued to do so by producing award-winning shows in which kids in school to seniors can participate in live drama and learn new skills, therefore enriching the quality of life in the community. The Patio Playhouse Youth Theatre carries on these ideals by introducing live theatre to school children by giving school performances. The Youth Theatre has earned two awards in addition to three nominations in the Sixth Annual National Youth Arts Awards in 2010-2011. It is supported solely by tax-deductible donations, membership dues and box office receipts. The Patio Playhouse has no salaried employees and all aspects of the productions and theatrical management is performed by volunteers.
